Hey everyone, hope you had a relaxing August Long-weekend! For this post, we will once again be looking at all the real-time data we pulled from liquor vendors over the weekend, but this time, also focusing on the recent Pride Celebration that happened in Vancouver.
For this week, we compared several data segments including, Total Profit Increase, Total Revenue by Day, Top Hour for Sunday, To Products for Sunday and Top Products Sold the whole weekend. Check out the data tables below for a full look at all these stats.
Looking at the Total Value (% change in dollars spent), Total Quantity (% change in units sold), and Total Transactions (% change in the number of transactions) you can see that the August Long Weekend and the Pride Celebration Day on Sunday saw a solid increase in all these categories.
Across the long-weekend we saw solid growth, but Sunday proved to be the highest sales period over the weekend. Sunday saw 12.5% increase in dollar sales and a 10.5% increase in quantity sales over the previous weekend.
Just looking over the purchases over the weekend, we can see that 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM were the highest points when customers were purchasing the most.
With Sunday having the largest sales change over the previous weeks, we broke down the top items in each category purchased on that specific day.
The top items purchased over the weekend vary a little from Sunday’s specific top items, but you can still see a similar item trend.
With the August long-weekend and Pride Day seeing the highest increase in sales, it’s no surprise that pushing your liquor marketing campaigns during this time next year can be hugely beneficial for you and your business. Keep up with celebrations like these and capitalize on the high and sudden demand for are types of liquor.
