Looking at the total value (% change in dollars spent), total quantity (% change in units sold), and total transactions (% change in the number of transactions) we can see that the holiday weeks of December 17th to 31st saw an overall increase in all categories.

Here is a data-driven example of the classic holiday scramble on Christmas and New Years Eve. Both Tuesdays saw a massive 416.4% increase in dollar sales and a 331.2% increase in the number of sales over the previous time period. Best be prepared with staff and stock so potential customers don’t turn away in a rush to check everything off their list.
